Monster Season 4

From portraying a monster to raising one, Charlie Hunnam, the star of Monster: The Ed Gein Story, portraying Ed Gein himself, will now return for Monster Season 4 and become a major role model for Netflix’s latest monster, Lizzie Borden. That’s right, Charlie Hunnam will portray Borden’s father.

It is amusing to find out that an actor who played an iconic role of one of the world’s real-life monsters now portrays the father of one on the next season of Netflix’s Monster. Charlie Hunnam is known not just in the show Monster, but is also famous for his roles in the movies Pacific Rim and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

What Does This Tell Us About Monster Season 4?

Now that we know who Lizzie Borden’s father is, we can easily tell what will happen to Hunnam’s role and how impactful he will be to both the story and Lizzie Borden herself. If you’re a big fan of history or just have a general knowledge of who Lizzie Borden is in real life, then you know exactly where this is going. But if you’re not, and don’t like having spoilers, consider this a spoiler warning for you.

The story of Lizzie Borden, or at least what the whole world knows her for by now, is because of her parents. Not only because they practically molded her and raised her, but also because Lizzie Borden was tried in court for their murders. It was believed that Lizzie Borden murdered her father, Andrew Jackson Borden, and stepmother, Abby Borden, with an axe. But eventually, she had won that trial and was deemed innocent due to the lack of evidence.

Charlie Hunnam’s role is more than just important in the new, upcoming season of Netflix’s Monster, because his role will be the driving force for Lizzie Borden’s story and character. Though the murders were brutal, and the trial was unjust, it was still this very frightening story that brought fear to the hearts of many, especially when it happened.
